Shrimp Egg Rolls

There are certain foods that I enjoy so much, once I think about making them, I just have to do it. Shrimp egg rolls fall into that category for me. I have tried to satisfy that craving at every Chinese restaurant I’ve eaten at, but I have not found any really good ones in a long time. The sauce also makes a big difference, I love a good sweet and sour sauce. That’s also hard to find. These egg rolls are so good and I can make them any time I want! So why worry about finding good ones? These are easy and I can satisfy an egg roll craving any time I want.

Bacon Wrapped Meatballs with Maple Dipping Sauce

Meatballs in some type of sauce, seem to show up at every party. I’m excited to share this recipe with you. I’ve played with it and think it’s perfect now. The meatballs are tender and the maple sauce has chili sauce and soy sauce in it, for a great sweet and tangy flavor.  I like to use a good applewood smoked bacon for a little extra yumminess. If you like meatballs, this is the recipe to try.

Baked Crab Rangoon Cups

Appetizers are a favorite during the holiday season, especially on New Years Eve. I usually don’t plan much for dinner, I’m happy with a variety of good munchies. Some type of crab appetizer is always on my list and this year, I’ll make another batch of these Baked Crab Rangoon Cups. Unlike the typical fried version, these are baked in the oven. This means that they are easier to make and also a little bit healthier.

Shrimp Puffs

I first started making these about fifteen years ago. I have no idea where the recipe originated, cookbook…maybe, magazine….maybe, online somewhere…maybe. All I know is that I really do love them and everyone I have served them to has loved them. I have been asked for the recipe many times. I usually make them when entertaining friends as an appetizer. But, the other night when I made them for this post on my blog, we had them for dinner. I’ll do that again, they made an excellent dinner! I even had enough left over to freeze for another time. I love having something yummy in the freezer to pull out quick!

Bacon Lovers Hot Corn Dip

When I took this dip to a party, it was a new recipe that I had never made before. Brave soul that I am, I went ahead and doubled it, just because I wanted enough, if it did go over.  Bacon and corn….was there going to be any doubt?  No! The dish got scraped clean. Everyone loved it. I couldn’t wait to make it again for the blog, so here it is….

Tropical Hot Wings

Football season is in full swing and that means that tailgate foods are in high demand around my house. Saturday the weather was nice enough to grill some wings, so I made one of our very favorite recipes.  Tropical Hot Wings are full of great flavor and combine sweet, salty and hot. It’s a recipe I have made for over ten years and have many great memories associated with it.
