Coleslaw is one of my favorite types of salads. I make it quite often and usually keep a head of cabbage on hand for whenever the mood strikes. Sometimes plain is fine, but there are times when I get into playing around with it. Today’s recipe is one of those times.
This is by far my favorite pie. When I was growing up, my family would visit an apple orchard every fall. The next day my Mom and Grandmother would make apple pies. I got to help and as I got older, would be given certain pie making jobs. I think Mom was quite relieved when I was able to make the whole pie myself. She never really liked to bake, but my Dad loved desserts! Now, many years later, I still go to the orchards and as soon as my favorite baking apple is harvested, I make apple pie. But not just any apple pie…..
These are the best soft, gooey, full of apple cinnamon rolls you will ever eat! They are just bursting with fresh apple flavor. These rolls are a tradition, I make them every year after a trip to the apple orchard. That trip happened last week and I couldn’t wait to make them.
Apple season is here and is without a doubt my favorite time of year for cooking. I put it that way because I don’t want summer to get mad at me. I love summer for many other reasons!
Not only do I love apples but I also love pumpkin and all the comfort foods that I get hungry for as the temperatures cool off. We are planning a pretty big variety of wonderful fall foods, soups, meats, side dishes, casseroles, breads and of course our favorite fall desserts.
So get ready, this is the first of the fall recipes that I am posting, Terri has a bunch too. You will notice that Terri and I are taking turns at posting to this blog.
