This is a fun cake to make for special occasions and it looks so pretty on your plate. It’s so good. It’s been a favorite cake of mine for a long time. I particularly like the explosion of flavor when I bite into a chunk of maraschino cherry.
Cream Puffs have always been a super special treat for me. That started when I was a little girl and my Mom and I would go shopping and stop at a bakery/lunch counter type of store. Recently, I was visiting her and I asked her if she remembered our special shopping treat and at 94 years old, she immediately said yes. This is an updated version of an old classic. No bake cookies are so quick and easy, I have made them often through the years when I get a chocolate craving. There is something about them that can’t be beat! I add potato chips for variation on the original, you just have to try them this way!
Over the years I have tried numerous bread pudding recipes, I’m a huge bread pudding fan. I just love the stuff! It is a very comforting dessert…all gooey, creamy, sweet with bread and eggs. I remember the very first time I tasted it, it was at a restaurant while traveling in the South. I know it sounds corny but it really was, love at first bite! I started trying bread pudding recipes to duplicate that first one.
There’s no hunting for the cherries when you make these cherry turnovers. I think a good cherry turnover should be bursting with cherries. So…. I make my own filling. Problem solved!
Caramel Sauce that can be used on just about anything. It’s easy but decadent, perfect for any dessert that you want to make special. Rich with butter and cream, pure ingredients and no corn syrup. Put it in a cute little jar and you have a gift that anyone will love!
This Date and Walnut Loaf is totally delicious! It is moist and full of dates. I added a caramel sauce over it, as it really is more of a dessert that it is a quick bread. It is not overly sweet without the caramel sauce and since I am really into sweets, it just seemed perfect! And it is!
If you like things not so sweet, this is also terrific with some cream cheese smeared on top of a slice. That’s what my friend Ann does and it’s her recipe.
