Orange Brownies ~ Incredible!

I don’t know whether to call these brownies or bars but I do know they are incredible! Orange flavored anything has been a long favorite of mine. The brownies are very moist and there is enough fresh orange for a little zing!

German Chocolate Cake Cookie Cups

These little cookie cups will put you in German Chocolate Cake heaven. The German Chocolate Frosting  fills each cup perfectly. The cups are soft, almost like a brownie and will make a great addition to any cookie plate.  I think they are one of the cutest treats I’ve made in ages.

Spanish Bar Cake

Spices, applesauce, raisins and cocoa combine to make one very moist cake! It is so good and brings back many memories for me.
This cake is an old family favorite from the A+P stores where I grew up. Mom would buy one as a special treat. I decided to try making it years ago when I saw a recipe that sounded good. The recipe wasn’t quite right so I have improved it every time I’ve made it. I think it is perfect now, right down to looking like the original. I hope you enjoy it too! Does it bring back any memories for you?

Apple Orchard Cider Doughnuts

So far I have made Apple Orchard Cinnamon Rolls and Apple Orchard Apple Pie and posted those recipes. When I was buying my apples last weekend, I also bought fresh apple cider. There was a long line to buy apple cider doughnuts, so I didn’t buy any. But the thought was in my head and I just had to make my own. I’m sure glad I did, these are so good, in fact they are fantastic! Cider and doughnuts, they just go together.

Apple Orchard Apple Pie

This is by far my favorite pie. When I was growing up, my family would visit an apple orchard every fall. The next day my Mom and Grandmother would make apple pies. I got to help and as I got older, would be given certain pie making jobs.  I think Mom was quite relieved when I was able to make the whole pie myself. She never really liked to bake, but my Dad loved desserts! Now, many years later, I still go to the orchards and as soon as my favorite baking apple is harvested, I make apple pie. But not just any apple pie…..

Maple Apple Tart

Maple + Cream + Apple = One wonderful tasting tart! I’ve had this recipe in my “to make” pile for a few years and just never got around to it.  I have no idea as to why, because this is one of the best tasting desserts ever! It is also quick, easy but impressive.
